How to Stream from Xbox
Aircast lets you stream from your Xbox Series X|S or Xbox One to multiple platforms at once — no capture card or PC needed. The trick is that Aircast doesn’t replace how you go live. You stream from your Xbox the way you normally would, and Aircast picks up that stream and rebroadcasts it to your other platforms.
For Xbox, the way to do this is the “Stream with Twitch” option. Your Xbox goes live on Twitch on its own, Aircast pulls it from there, and your other platforms come along for the ride — with nothing to configure on your network.
Step 1: Go Live on Twitch from Your Xbox
Unlike PlayStation, your Xbox doesn’t have a separate broadcast button on the controller — but it does have streaming built right into the dashboard. You don’t need the Twitch app for this (in fact, the Twitch app on Xbox is now just for watching, not going live).
To start a Twitch broadcast straight from your console:
- Press the Xbox button on your controller to open the guide
- Go to the Capture & Share tab
- Select Live streaming
- Choose Twitch — the first time, you’ll link your account by scanning the QR code or visiting twitch.tv/activate and entering the code shown
- Set your stream title, then adjust game/mic audio, party chat, resolution, and bitrate if you like
- Start the broadcast and jump back into your game — your Xbox keeps streaming and even updates the game category on Twitch automatically
Note: Xbox’s built-in Twitch streaming maxes out at 1080p / 30fps. That’s a limit of the console’s broadcast feature, not Aircast.
Step 2: Let Aircast Pick It Up with “Stream with Twitch”
Once your Xbox is live on Twitch, getting that stream onto your other platforms is simple. In Aircast, use the “Stream with Twitch” option and choose Twitch as your source. Aircast picks up your Twitch stream and rebroadcasts it to wherever you want — YouTube, Kick, Facebook, and more.
Then just add the destinations you’d like to rebroadcast to, and you’re set. The next time you go live on your Xbox, Aircast can carry your stream out to all of them.
Tip: Streaming to more than one extra destination at a time (or to Facebook / a custom RTMP target) requires Aircast Premium.

Good to Know
Because your Xbox streams to Twitch first and Aircast pulls it from there, two things are worth keeping in mind:
- A small amount of extra delay. Your other platforms will be slightly behind real time, since the stream has to reach Twitch before Aircast forwards it.
- Twitch always appears first. Your stream shows up on Twitch before it reaches your other destinations.
In return, you get a setup that works on any network with zero configuration — no DNS changes, no router settings, no capture card, and no PC. For most Xbox streamers, that’s a great trade.
